Smokey     son of Robin of Loxley

What a boy! following closely in the pawprints of his forefather's. Smokey is a fine example of line breeding at its best - with the like's of Luck Dragon, Robyn Hood and Robin of Loxley in his bloodline it is not surprising that he is so successful in the breed ring. Smokey was chosen because of his 'likeness' to his sire Robyn Hood aka Dollar. In addition, his charming temperament did not go unnoticed - somehow he always managed to catch my attention in his litter.

Smokey did not attend many shows as a puppy, and was often overshadowed by his pretty sister Tiana. As a teenager, he started turning heads - a strong young male. I watched patiently as he started to transform into a beautiful young adult - masculinity clearly defined, erect ears (strong ear leathers), dark almond shape eyes, perfect medium size, strong medium bone and substance, pitch black pigment (nose, lips, eyelids/rims, nails), strong back out of a harmonius topline, good lay of croup, plush very white coat and tail (well set),  with BALANCED MOVEMENT.

As an older puppy and junior he was awarded Best of Breed over the adults in the show ring. 

With maturity he has wowed judges with his fabulous plush coat, strong black pigment and effortless reach. Smokey soon began to hit 'home run's' in 2023 with many Best of Breeds and a few group placings - at least 53x Best of Breeds up to November 2025.

Smokey had 'limited' showing in 2024 , but even so has made a superb 'come back' to the showring in 2025. With great success, he is currently South Africa's #1 Top achieving WSS showdog ranked in the top 100 showdogs as at the end of 2025 including a fabulous 1st Herding group win under international judge : Mr B.Chmiel, Poland

PROVEN SIRE

As a sire, Smokey is proving his worth - with outcrossing or line breeding he is producing wonderful, quality puppies - I have bred two daughters from Smokey : Liquorice Lady (Alana) & Mouse In My House (Mouse) both girls successful each time out in the showring. Alana has taken a sabatical after her very successful run as Baby puppy and Puppy, and finally earning her Champion and Junior Merit titles - she will be back in the ring in 2026. Mouse is very new to the ring, she showed only in two shows winning Baby Puppy in breed, afterwhich she was not on show again - however, she is back on top form and entered the show ring in November 2025 as a Junior and breezed in to win her first A20 CAC, CC bitch, Best Junior & Res.Best Junior in Group, Res.BOB under internation judge Jari Partanen (Norway),and the following day awarded another Best Junior. Smokey's lovely furkids from Iciclefrost Snowberry are also proving themselves in the showring in the Cape province with good temperaments and overall good construction. 

They say 'a stud dog is only as good as he produces', that stud dog is SMOKEY - and definitely he is worth A FEW DOLLARS MORE.
